VIENNALE 2006.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.viennale.at\/en\/preview_06\/dokumentar\/\">http:\/\/www.viennale.at\/en\/preview_06\/dokumentar\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/segnaledigitale.org\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/viennale.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1452\" src=\"http:\/\/segnaledigitale.org\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/viennale.jpg\" alt=\"viennale\" width=\"133\" height=\"40\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>From October 13 to October 25, the Viennale 2006 hosted the documentary <strong><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Anger Me<\/span><\/strong> produced by <strong><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">SEGNALE DIGITALE<\/span><\/strong> and <strong><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">A Few Step Productions<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Directed by <strong><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Elio Gelmini<\/span><\/strong>, Italian-Canadian director, its theme is independent film director <strong><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Kenneth Anger<\/span><\/strong> (1930), his extraordinary film making and his books. The documentary was shown October 23 at <strong><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Viennale Centrale Urania theatre<\/span><\/strong> and October 24 at Stadkino, bringing together a great number of experts, film buffs, fans and filmmakers, once again proving that Anger\u2019s work is still vivid and up to date.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/segnaledigitale.org\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/vienna1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1456\" src=\"http:\/\/segnaledigitale.org\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/vienna1.jpg\" alt=\"vienna1\" width=\"150\" height=\"101\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/segnaledigitale.org\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/vienna2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1457\" src=\"http:\/\/segnaledigitale.org\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/vienna2.jpg\" alt=\"vienna2\" width=\"150\" height=\"107\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Kenneth Anger<\/span><\/strong> himself was at the screening introducing the documentary and later answering many questions from the public. Seine Werke wie \u201eFireworks\u201c, \u201eScorpio Rising\u201c oder \u201eKustom Kar Kommandos\u201c wurden zu den Leitbildern der Kunstszene der Siebziger und Achtziger. Elio Gelmini \u2013 bislang vor allem mit kurzen Dokumentarfilmen an die \u00d6ffentlichkeit getreten \u2013 nahm sich seiner eigenen Faszination f\u00fcr Anger an und portr\u00e4tierte ihn in seiner ersten Langdokumentation.Dabei ist der Star des Werkes der bein<br \/>\nDabei ist der Star des Werkes der beinahe aus dem Bild springende Kenneth Anger selbst. Knappe siebzig Minuten lang entbl\u00e4ttert der mittlerweile 79 Jahre alte Filmemacher \u2013 der von Jonas Mekas im Intro als Poet bezeichnet wird \u2013 die Hintergr\u00fcnde seines Schaffens und seiner Ausbildung. Die Einfl\u00fcsse eines Alistair Crowley werden ebenso aufgearbeitet wie jene von Jean Cocteau. Doch hier liegt die Schw\u00e4che von \u201eAnger Me\u201c. Elio Gelmini verliert sich in den Wortkaskaden, die sein Forschungsobjekt auf ihn losl\u00e4sst. Wenn Jonas Mekas also im Film von Unsch\u00e4rfe umgeben ist, ist das weder ein b\u00f6ser Schnitzer des Kameramanns noch soll Mekas verkl\u00e4rt werden, sondern es kommt so einfach billiger. Unabh\u00e4ngig dessen zeigt Gelmini nur eine Seite von Kenneth Anger , n\u00e4mlich die des K\u00fcnstlers, nicht aber die des Menschen, der hinter dem K\u00fcnstler steht. Der K\u00fcnstler scheint jedenfalls Pionier von allem gewesen zu sein; Gerade dass er nicht f\u00fcr sich reklamiert, den Film erfunden zu haben. Im Film behauptet Anger samt rotem Pullover mit Aufschrift ANGER \u00fcbrigens auch, 1930 geboren zu sein, obwohl sich \u00fcberall das Jahr 1927 findet.
